Did you know that the Vauxhall Corsa is celebrating its 25th birthday this year? The 1990s was a decade synonymous of British Culture, especially Britpop from the likes of Blur, Oasis and the Spice Girls, but it is also renowned for the creation of the Corsa! From the conception of the Corsa in 1993, Vauxhall has since witnessed its rise in fame with the car becoming an icon in its own right, with over two million being sold in the UK, which equates to nine cars purchased per hour. However, what a transformation the Corsa has made since its beginnings, from music played through the Cassette player to now being streamed through mobile phones via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Plus, no one would have predicted that a Personal Assistant would be on-hand via the Corsa’s intelligent OnStar System. This is alongside the Corsa’s significant growth of interior proportions and the almost doubling up of engine performance. So, to celebrate the birthday of this iconic car, we have 25 fun facts that you may not have known about the Corsa!
